Mr Japson Nemuseso (Acting Town Clerk)

The Town Clerk’s Office

It is currently headed by Mr Japson Nemuseso on an acting capacity. It is made up of five departments namely Housing and Community Services, Health and Environmental Services, Works, Central Administration and Finance. The office of the Town Clerk is the overall department and it makes key decisions on the running of the organization. In addition, it also guide the Municipality inline with the statutory powers given to it by acts and policies put down by the Government of Zimbabwe and Municipal by laws.

Divisions

The divisions under this department are;

Public Relations

It is responsible for the promotion and enhancing of the Corporate’s image and the promotion of Corporate Social Responsibility.

Information Communication and Technology (ICT)

Its core function is the provision of information and technological services.

Business Development Unit

Audit

It reviews internal control systems and risk management through identification of departmental risk areas and put in place measures to mitigate them.

Procurement Management Unit (PMU)

The objectives of PMU are in accordance with the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act 22:23 (PPDPAA).

It ensures that procurement is effected in a manner that is transparent, fair, honest, cost-effective and competitive.
